I was on the button and did not call the $40 cold when the guy reraised in front of me.

Lots of pots in 08 get huge and you will occasionally scoop. On the trip 7's hand 4 people see the flop for 12, 4 people call the flop bet of 12, 3 people call the turn bet of 24, 3 people call the river bet of 24. That is a pot of $240, so the rake becomes less of a factor.

Plus the play is materially worse. When I described the $2/$5 table I only saw one donkish play in the time I sat there. The 08 errors are numerous.

I think if we were fortunate enough to have the poker knowledge we do now 10 years ago, it would have been the same phenomenon in Vegas, widespread donkish play with big winnings for the good players. The donks are still around at $1/$2 but I did not see them migrate to my $2/$5 table.

Definitely worse fold ever on 9,2 suited. I just needed Ryan to be in the vicinity and then I would have called.jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17031011372040805515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7012366747492399470.post-11321918097252319312008-04-13T15:28:00.000-07:002008-04-13T15:28:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17031011372040805515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7012366747492399470.post-37025006057444453702008-04-13T09:46:00.000-07:002008-04-13T09:46:00.000-07:00Nice work Jason. As for beatability, how can O/8 be beatable when the pot is chopped so often which would accentuate the effect of rake even more than at Hold'em?

How could you not play out your 9h2h hand? Worst fold ever.

So on the trip Sevens board you chop/scooped? Or you 3/4'ed the guy? You had the nut low with someone else but he had a trip Sevens as well? I don't think I've seen that before.

I think calling the 15 with the SpainR was questionable but if you are going to call 15 I don't see how you can fold for another 25 after the re-raise and a call.

FYI: You will be visited by a representative from Child Protective Services for abandoning the girls all day and night.Sushi Cowboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00753872848839415763noreply@blogger.com
