"_______-ing" up is the new plaquing up (fill in the blank)

For those of you at Tuesday Night Poker last night (and that would be everyone) you might have noticed that we now have new 100 unit markers instead of the wimpy plaques that I've never been too happy with. The question is what to call them since they are not plaques. The phrase that comes up most often is something like "Hey, can you plaque me up?" when there are many chips in front of you and you want to make room for more. So what in your opinion should be the term for the new markers? Post a comment to forward a suggestion and/or give an opinion on any existing options.

"Color up" remains the gold standard, of course. You still can't go wrong with that.

"Bundle up"

"Brick up"

I propose "Gimme a hunny".

I love 'brick up.' That just sounds so badass.

I was going to say "Cash up", but brick up just sounds so much better.

"Brick up" sounds like a winner to me.

I want to call them "straps".

Yes, I want to say, "strap me up".

I am also unopposed to bricks.

lol@bundle up btw.

I, too, vote for the bricking of the up.

Did some research and, for what it's worth, "straps" are technically more accurate for what we are using. Apparently, to the people who deal with these things, a single bundle of bills wrapped together is a "strap" whereas multiple straps rubber banded together is a "brick".

FYI.

OK, I'm good with straps. Bra straps. If you know what I mean.

Wait, where was I?

So should we refer to the 500-banded "straps" as "bricks"? So you strap-up to a 100 pack, and brick-up to a 500 pack?

A *proper* 500 unit package *would* be a brick since it would bind together five individual 100 unit straps. That would be my preference instead of the pseudo-brick but there are practicalities involved not the least of which is having enough room in the cases.

OK, "strapping up" is the officially sanctioned replacement to plaquing up. Feel free to use whatever term you want though...except for "bundle up"...what a mom expression!
